Toddlers:

Little DIscoverers

12 - 20 months

Little Discoverers room will inspire discoveries, promote independence, and encourage milestones to grow. Little Discoverers follows a 1:4 ratio. Parents can expect their child(ren) to experience:

  • Daily Prayer, Bible stories, and singing

  • Monthly Little Fliers'Bible Newsletter that will highlight the Bible stories we are studying and Growing with God at home activities

  • Developmentally appropriate activities and familiar routines

  • Caregivers that follow each child’s Flight Plan and use developmental screeners to create age-appropriate learning goals and objectives

  • Begin to “Get Set for School” with Handwriting Without Tears curriculum

  • Introduction to Zoo-phonics language arts curriculum, a multi-sensory (sight, sound, movement) approach to literacy development that engages young learners of all learning styles

  • Unstructured play and whole/small group activities to encourage children to be inventive and curious about the world around them

  • Discover and explore in our playscape, playground, and indoor gross motor play space

  • Enjoy the many benefits of being outdoors - rain or shine - using classroom oakiwear suits

  • Explore in our Children’s Garden and help plant and harvest by rotating different garden jobs
